Pea Protein Powder Reviews
Not sure if it’s my blender or what but this always feel grainy going down. Taste is tolerable though. And you can never go wrong with Naked’s ingredients.
I ordered the Chocolate and Vanilla pea protein powders. I find both of them tasty and would honestly love them IF I knew for certain what I was getting. When I originally ordered the Vanilla was listed as having 17 grams of protein. When it finally arrived the packaging said it had 25 grams of protein. I emailed the company for clarification and heard back one time with this incredibly canned response:
"All of our protein products are now evaluated using the Protein Digestibility-Corrected Amino Acid Score (PDCAAS) method, which assesses both the quality and digestibility of the protein. Previously, protein content was determined using nitrogen testing, which measures total protein based solely on nitrogen levels in the powder. Under the PDCAAS testing method, vegan protein powders have protein levels that are lower than those of animal-source protein powders due to the differences in quality and digestibility of the underlying protein sources."
While interesting I guess, that answer does not in fact, tell me the amount of protein that's in the protein powder. So I emailed again...and again...and again and nearly a month later I still have not heard back. They have now changed the protein content on the website to reflect the protein content on the packaging (25 grams). To be clear, I loved the taste of the powder and would have been happy with the product either way, 17 grams is fine, 25 grams is better! But it's the lack of transparency that made me cancel my subscription. For a company whose slogan is "nutrition with nothing to hide" it definitely feels like they're hiding something. They've lost my trust and I'm sad to say I cannot reorder because frankly I don't know what I'm getting, and what else they're hiding.
Great product that works well with everything from smoothies to plain water. I even add it to my morning oatmeal!
It could be flavored the way you like it and you get the nutrients you need for the day with 10 oz !
Not much to say, it's exactly what I wanted and expected, no bad taste or clumping
Nice
Good
Having no experience with pea protein, I have no clue how this compares to others except to say that this is a clean product. I will choke down pretty much anything if I know it's healthy so I figured I'd add it to my heavy animal based protein diet and mix it with hemp seeds to make it a complete protein. I will be hard-pressed to figure out how to hide the flavour and texture but if you're someone who enjoys the taste of cardboard served in a fine, dust-like texture that completely coats you mouth and teeth, you're good to go.
I'll be trying to work with it but I think it will be a fun challenge to work my way through 5 lbs of it. The initial greek yogurt, raw honey, hemp seeds, pumpkin seeds and wild blueberries (heated from frozen with lots of blueberry juice), did little to hide anything. I was trying to nail down the taste and texture with each mouthful while laughing at how truly odd/awful it was.
It's a health addition with a odd taste and texture but maybe after 5 lbs of it, I'll gain a weird affinity for it.
Hello . I know this is a quality product and You guys are awesome but I'm actually in the market for raw pea protein powder . No heat treating, low temperature below 118 F dehydrating, true raw . I would buy that product off You guys if You began stocking it . I thought because of the name Naked thats what it was but it was slightly misleading
3rd party tested
Simple ingredients
Nothing to hide
What more could you ask for… other than the whey not being 150cad
